Pastor Wilfred Lai is the Founder and Lead Pastor of Jesus Celebration Centre (JCC), headquartered in Mombasa, Kenya. Under his visionary leadership, JCC has grown from a humble congregation of just 60 members to a vibrant, dynamic church of over 10,000 members, with a sanctuary that seats 30,000.
He is widely respected as an apostolic leader, dynamic preacher, and teacher of the Word, with a ministry that impacts not only Kenya but the nations of the world.
Pastor Lai is an internationally recognised conference speaker and pioneer of media ministry in Kenya. His influence extends across continents, having established churches in the United States, the United Kingdom, throughout Africa, and across Kenya.
He is the founder of JCC TV, a 24/7 Gospel television station broadcast via satellite and fibre across Kenya and East Africa, reaching millions with the message of Christ.
For more than 30 years, Pastor Lai has hosted the Word Explosion Conference—a landmark international and interdenominational gathering for pastors and leaders, which has ministered to over 50,000 people. He also leads Prophetic Conferences that began in Kenya and now span across Africa, equipping and empowering church leaders through the prophetic Word.
With a strong commitment to leadership development and ministry training, Pastor Lai established the JCC School of Ministry in Mombasa, dedicated to equipping and mentoring ministers for effective service. In addition to ministry, he has invested in education through the JCC Educational Complex, a distinguished institution offering a full academic curriculum—from Playgroup and Kindergarten through Primary, Junior Secondary (JSS), and High School levels.
He is a father in the faith to many, and the apostolic grace upon his life has enabled him to raise and release sons and daughters in ministry—many of whom now lead impactful churches throughout Kenya and around the world.
