Blessed to be a blessing.
Wilfred Lai foundation is one of the pillars of the JCC Ministry that was established with an aim of giving hope to the hopeless in the community. It officially began January 2014 but has been running under Dorcas Ministry for over 20 years. The foundation gives an opportunity to be a blessing to others. Currently, the foundation sponsors students and pupils in Kindergarten, Primary and High school yet the need in the community is immense. The sponsorship includes buying uniforms, medical care, meals, transport to and from school and pocket money for the boarders.
CURRENT SPONSORED STUDENTS:
We have started a pilot self-help group and registered it as Inuka investment group. This group is meant to benefit the parents/guardians who have their sponsored by the foundation as well as the needy women in the Dorcas ministry. We teach them on saving, sound investments as well as accessing financing from the government to support their business ideas.
Children at Wilfred Lai Foundation have produced a music album as part of nurturing gifts and talents. Their songs are currently playing on air with the most popular radio stations in Mombasa.
We hope to educate at least 200 children annually. We are building our children's home and the first unit is expected to finish by the end of this year.
